Read Across Clinton

CCEF began supporting this program as a Classroom Grant, but we had a lot of interest from our donors to make this a Special Project.  So starting in 2017 we began fundraising specifically for Read Across Clinton.  We have been fortunate to receive some grants ourselves that we have used to help grow the locally run and organized summer reading program (Read Across Clinton).  

We at CCEF are very glad that Bethany & Therese had the idea to launch this program in Clinton.  This has been very beneficial to the children of Clinton IL and we want them to know we appreciate all of their hard work.  CCEF is also glad to be partners with them in continuing to grow the number of children that are benefiting from the books to read over the summer break.

We also want to thank Debbie Patrick & Lauri Torbert from Lincoln School, as well as Shawn Crandall from Douglas School.  These three were the reason Read Across Clinton was able to expand from CES down to K-1st graders at Lincoln & Doulgas Schools.
