The CCEF Board oversees the selection and disbursement of nine scholarships. These scholarships are available to Clinton High School seniors that meet criteria as outlined in the scholarship application. (another is in-progress)
The 2025 Scholarship applications will be available in November 2024. Applications may be downloaded at that time from here by clicking on the specific scholarship. The High School Guidance Office will also have them available for download off the school website by selecting CHS Student Services and then clicking on the Scholarship link.

On behalf of the late Mr. Beggs, the Foundation would like to award four students, each with a $1,250 scholarship to continue their education next year. Additionally, this scholarship is renewable each year by the student, for up to the next three years-- making the total value of this scholarship $5,000.
The 2025 Beggs Scholarship Application
will be Available for Download in November 2024.
Application deadline is Wednesday – April 2, 2025.
Beggs Memorial Scholarship: for students planning to enroll full-time at an accredited college or university to pursue an undergraduate degree.
Award Amount: $5000 (annual payment of $1250 up to four years)
Beggs Technical/Vocational Scholarship: for students planning to enroll full-time at an accredited vocational or technical institution of post-secondary education including programs at Community/Junior Colleges.
Award Amount: $2500 (one-time payment)

The Constellation - Clinton Power Station Scholarship is Available to students graduating from CUSD15 in Clinton, Illinois.
Constellation has partnered with CUSD#15 to launch the Constellation Clinton Clean Energy STEM Scholarship Program, which provides students scholarship assistance, opportunities for internships and early career readiness support to help prepare them for rewarding careers within the energy industry. The scholarship recipient will also have an opportunity to participate in an internship at Constellation's Clinton Power Station.
$2,500 scholarship for one (1) high school student in underserved or under-represented communities in Illinois for student enrolling in a STEM program (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) at an accredited college or university.
$500 for vocational programming supporting STEM activities that provide skills to prepare students for work in the nuclear industry.

The James Adcock Teacher Scholarship
will be awarded to a graduate of Clinton High School
who has been accepted or is currently enrolled full-time in an undergraduate teacher-education program at an accredited college or university.
The amount of the scholarship award will be $500.
The scholarship recipient will be the person who is deemed most qualified by the scholarship committee.
Selection will be made on the basis of information provided on the application forms, an official transcript, an essay, and recommendations.
Applicants (including past recipients) may reapply for the scholarship for subsequent years.

The Gerald “Jerry” Ryan Agriculture Scholarship is offered by the Jerry Ryan family in his memory. Jerry was a DeWitt County farmer for many years. This scholarship will be awarded to a graduate of Clinton Community High School who has been accepted or is currently enrolled full-time in an undergraduate agricultural related program (individuals not pursuing an agricultural degree but who have been active in 4H and FFA or at least FFA in high school are also eligible) at an accredited junior college, college or university. The amount of the scholarship will be $500, one or two scholarships may be awarded.
Selection will be based on information provided on the application forms, an official transcript, an essay, and recommendations. Applicants (including past recipients) may reapply for the scholarship for subsequent years.

The Chenoweth Family Memorial Scholarship is to be awarded in an agriculture/home economics/hospitality area to honor the Chenoweth family's grandparents who were long-time farmers in DeWitt County, or in a music-related field (performance/education/music therapy) to honor the Chenoweth family's mother, a 1956 Wapella High School graduate.
This scholarship will be awarded to a graduate of Clinton high School who has been accepted or is currently enrolled full-time at an accredited university/community/technical college pursuing a four-year undergraduate or two-year degree.
Award Amount: $2500 for two (2) new first-time applicants or, a one-time renewal for two (2) former recipients in good standing)
Selection will be based on information provided on the application forms, an official transcript, an essay, and recommendations. Applicants may reapply for the scholarship for one subsequent year.

The Sgt. Rebecca “Becki” Farris Memorial Scholarship, named in memory of a former Clinton High School Alumni, recognizes the importance of Women in Law Enforcement Careers.
This scholarship is annual and is awarded $1,000 to one successful applicant.
Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
• A young woman looking to start or continue education into a Law Enforcement career
Selection will be based on information provided on the application forms, an official transcript, an essay, and recommendations. Applicants may reapply for the scholarship for one subsequent year.

AAK Mechanical Scholarship is to be awarded to students planning to enroll full-time at an accredited vocational or technical institution of post-secondary education.
This scholarship is for those students who wish to pursue a career by means of a vocational or technical institution. An example of a trade could be welding, pipefitting, cosmetology, HVAC, massage therapy, electrician, plumbing, construction management, and many more.
Selection will be based on information provided on the application forms, an official transcript, an essay, and recommendations. Applicants may reapply for the scholarship.

The Deanna Spencer Memorial Scholarships, named in memory of a former Clinton High School and Parkland College Alumni, and State Farm employee, recognize the importance of business degrees in today’s society.
One application is open to current high school seniors that plan to pursue a business-related program at a junior college or 4-year college or university. The amount of the scholarship will be $1,000.
The other scholarship is open to current high school seniors that plan to pursue a degree by attending Parkland College upon graduation. The amount of the scholarship will be $1,000.
